Persoonia 'Gold Lantern' (also known as Golden Lantern Geebung) is a hardy, low-growing Australian native shrub or ground cover. It is a hybrid species, specifically a cross between Persoonia nutans and Persoonia oxycoccoides. This plant is highly valued for its striking contrast of bright green, lanceolate foliage against vibrant magenta stems.
Key Features
Flowers: Produces masses of small, golden-yellow tubular flowers primarily from summer to autumn. As the flowers age, their anther tips recurve and fade to a soft cream colour.
Size: Typically grows to a mature size of approximately 1m high and 1.5m wide.
Habit: Dense and mounding, making it an excellent choice for low hedges, rockeries, or understorey planting.
