Correa 'Fire Bird'

The Correa Firebird is a small, evergreen shrub with orange-red flowers that bloom in autumn, winter and spring. It's also known as the Native Fuchsia. 

Appearance 

• A low, mounding shrub with glossy green leaves

• Bell-shaped red flowers

• Can grow up to 1.2 meters tall

Growing conditions 

• Prefers dry, well-drained soil

• Tolerates frost and drought

• Can grow in a variety of environments, including coastal areas

• Can grow in full sun to heavy shade

• Can grow in acid to alkaline soil

Uses 

• Great for rockeries or native garden beds

• Looks fantastic planted under trees that provide dappled sunlight

• Can be used in bonsai
