Banksia hookeriana, also known as Hooker's banksia or Acorn Banksia, is a shrub native to Western Australiia that also does well in Western Victoria. It has long, narrow leaves and large flower spikes that are orange in color.

Prefers a sunny position
Does well in most soils but prefers poorer, sandy or clay soils with very good drainage

Can be grown in smaller gardens due to its compact form
One of the most commonly used banksias for cut flowers
Attracts all sorts of birds and insects
